태국 치앙라이 황금시계탑, 랜드마크

[#조니타이 - 치앙라이] 치앙라이의 랜드마크가 되어버린 “Golden Clock tower” 황금 시계탑은 왓 롱 쿤 (White Temple) 사원을 만든 찰름차이가 디자인 한 것으로 2008년 푸미폰 국왕의 즉위 60주년을 기념하기 위해 제작되어 낮에는 로터리를, 밤에는 아름다운 조명 역할을 한다. 백색 사원과 비슷한 느낌이지만 황금빛 치앙라이 백색과 블루 사원까지 다양한 색깔을 가지고 있는 치앙라이의 다양성을 말해주는 듯 하다. @조니정

Golden Clock Tower Designed by Thai artist Chalermchai Khositpipat and unveiled in 2008 in honour of His Majesty the King, Chiang Rai’s elaborate golden clocktower (Hoh Nalika Chalerm Prakiat) is a work of art and tourist attraction in its own right. Chalermchai was the man who built the White Temple in Chiang Rai and that same distinctive architectural style from Wat Rong Khun can be seen again with the clocktower.
